Interpreting for exhibitors and visitors

Trade fair interpreter in Italy

One interpreter supports your company throughout the agreed schedule, working on the stand, interpreting scheduled meetings and helping you communicate with partners during the event. Before the trade fair, the interpreter studies your product, presentation and specialist terminology.

At the venue

What an interpreter does at a trade fair

Your booking can combine work on the stand with separate meetings. The important point is to provide the schedule and tasks for each day in advance.

ON THE STAND

Presenting your company and product

The interpreter handles introductions, product descriptions, technical specifications, visitors’ questions and your staff’s answers.

IN MEETINGS

Business talks with partners

The interpreter conveys each side’s proposals and discussions about terms of cooperation, deliveries, deadlines, documents and next steps.

AS SCHEDULED

Presentations and business events

The interpreter supports you during talks and meetings, interprets short sections with pauses and helps you continue conversations during breaks.

Before the trade fair

How the interpreter prepares

Preparation begins once the booking is confirmed and the materials have been received. This allows product names, terminology and the wording used by your company to be agreed in advance.

Studies the company and product

Reviews your website, catalogue, presentation, service descriptions and materials for visitors to the stand.

Reviews the programme

Checks the working hours, scheduled meetings, participants’ names, discussion topics and travel between venues.

Prepares the terminology

Compiles product names, technical specifications, job titles, abbreviations and standard terms used in the sector.

Clarifies the format

Checks where interpreting is needed on the stand, where a separate meeting is scheduled and how much time is allocated to each part.

Questions about the service

Trade fair interpreter: frequently asked questions

When should I book an interpreter for a trade fair?

Once the dates and working schedule are confirmed. An early enquiry makes it more likely that I will be available on the required dates and gives me more time to study your company materials.

Can I book an interpreter for just one day of a trade fair?

Yes, provided the interpreter is available on that date. Your enquiry should state the exact start and finish times.

Is the interpreter’s preparation included in the booking?

The amount of preparation is taken into account in the quote. Before the event, the interpreter receives your website, presentation, catalogue, programme and company terminology.

Can the interpreter work both on the stand and in separate meetings?

Yes. The programme should set out the hours on the stand and any scheduled meetings in advance so that one working schedule can be confirmed.

Do you provide interpreting equipment for the trade fair?

No. The service covers the interpreter’s work, but not the hire of booths, receivers, tour-guide systems or other equipment.
